Results from the largest survey of transgender people in the United States were released Wednesday, revealing key insights into their lives and experiences. The survey, conducted by an organization, polled over 92,000 binary and nonbinary transgender individuals ages 16 and older. The respondents were surveyed on issues such as family life, healthcare, employment, education, housing, and public accommodation. The report highlighted that while many transgender individuals reported satisfaction with their lives after transitioning, disparities and discrimination persist. A significant number of respondents considered moving due to discrimination, and a majority reported mistreatment or negative experiences in schools. The survey also revealed challenges in accessing healthcare and higher rates of unemployment among transgender individuals.
