Bitcoin reached a 21-month high as investors awaited the potential approval of a U.S. bitcoin ETF. The cryptocurrency rose over 5% to $46,658.31. Potential bitcoin ETF issuers submitted final updates to the Securities and Exchange Commission, including key fee disclosures. This boosted investors’ confidence in the likelihood of approval. The last time bitcoin traded over $46,000 was April 2022. The SEC is approaching its first deadline to approve or reject one of the ETF applications on Wednesday.
